Juniper Moon, Student Midwife
I am a 3rd year midwifery student from Seattle, attending Bastyr University’s direct-entry Midwifery program.
I wanted to be here specifically to learn from and develop under midwives who are creating space for students and clients of color to be included in this predominately white profession.
I believe that the spiritual unfolding of a woman’s true strength is revealed through her birthing process; this is the notion from which my passion stems and I believe this insight plays an immeasurable role in preserving this sanctity of this work. It is my devotion to women of color, and my desire to serve that invokes an immense passion birth work. I am overwhelmed with enthusiasm to be joining this practice and know that they will play an intricate role in my development as a midwife.
